Cesare is protective of those who are his friends, though some can twist that into favoritism. He does his best to fair, and had dedicated himself to rebuilding Grado's from the ashes, just as the generations before him after the incident with Prince Lyon and the Demon King. Most don't know it, but this actually leaves him very stressed. Which is why he projects himself as the very opposite. Rarely ever does he let even his most closest and important friends into his head. He doesn't want to worry anyone. However, he would do anything to prove them wrong, unless he was asked to hurt someone. After all, repairing Grado's reputation is his life's work.
